E-Books

1. What is an E-book?

   Refers to both the electronic version of a text, that can be purchased as a CD or downloaded from the Internet and the electronic device that can be used to display such texts. The latter is, however, properly called an "e-book reader".

   E-books (electronic files) come in many formats including EPUB, PDF, EXE, Kindle and DOC.
   

2. What format does Kima Global use for E-books?

   Our new standards are EPUB and Kindle (Amazon).

   We also sell some books in PDF and EXE formats.
   The latter formats will be specifically marked, above the Add to Cart buttons.

   Example:  E-book Edition (PDF) - $9.90

   The Kindle version will be a text with a link to Amazon.
   

3. Do I need any special software to read an E-book?

   Most E-books can be read using the default software of your device (computer, laptop, iPad, etc.), with exception of the Amazon Kindle format: This is a specialized brand of mobi that only Kindles and the Kindle iPhone app can read.

   Free E-book reading software:

   • For E-books in EPUB format, you can download Adobe Digital Editions for FREE at http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/

   • For E-books in PDF format, you can download Adobe Reader for FREE at http://get.adobe.com/reader/

   • E-books in EXE format can be read on any device.

4. Will I get an instant download of my purchase?

   Yes. After you have made your payment, you are then redirected to a page where you can download your purchase straight away. On top of that you will also receive a mail with instructions and codes, for if you want to download your purchase at a later instant.

   E-books in PDF or EXE format come with an extra text file, with instructions and password.
   

5. Which methods of payment do you accept?

   Currently we accept payments by PayPal.
   PayPal also allows credit and debit card users to pay via their secure system.

6. Why are there two different "Add to Cart" & "View Cart" buttons?

   We use a different check out system for our E-books, as the digital delivery of the books is handled by a third party. Both systems work with the secure PayPal check out.

   Kima Global Gift Certificates can be used in both systems.
   

7. I cannot download my purchase! What shall I do?
